Brent George, 61, was arrested and charged with four counts of battery following an altercation at Belle Vue Lounge, a bar located within Disney's Boardwalk Inn.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on January 25, 2024, law enforcement officers were called to a bar following a reported physical confrontation. It was later discovered that four people had been victims of battery.

The law enforcement officials said that George appeared drunk upon their arrival at the scene. George claimed that a glass cup struck him in the face, causing multiple facial injuries.

George informed the authorities that he was in the Belle Vue Lounge, a cozy bar within the Boardwalk resort, with his wife and two close friends. According to WDWNT, George said he enjoyed three shots of bourbon and some beer during his stay at the bar.

According to the complaint, the family was seated at a nearby table when George approached them and began mocking the couple's daughter, who has Down syndrome and uses a wheelchair.

During the incident, the girl's mother approached George and questioned him about his behavior towards her daughter. In response, George reportedly became aggressive and pushed her twice. George reportedly slapped another guest at the table when she tried to intervene.

A physical altercation erupted when the husband of the woman who was slapped intervened, with George reportedly giving a punch to his neck. According to the complaint, George was struck in the head by the husband.

George Denies Remembering Physical Fight

George claimed he did not remember any specific details, citing his state of intoxication. He mentioned that he was enjoying his interactions with the people but later faced an unexpected assault.

A witness reported seeing someone hurl a glass cup at George and overhear someone saying they wanted to kill him. However, officers concluded that no broken glass was discovered at the scene, suggesting that a glass cup was not involved.

According to deputies, an unidentified individual quickly intervened and escorted George away from the scene.

George underwent a medical evaluation to assess the injuries he sustained from a physical altercation and was then transferred to the Orange County Jail, AOL reported.

George entered a not-guilty plea to all four battery charges in February, and his hearing, scheduled for March 13, was canceled.
