Donald Trump to Sit for Deposition in Trump Media Company Dispute

Former President Donald Trump is slated to undergo a deposition later this month as part of an ongoing legal battle with the co-founders of his social media company, Trump Media & Technology Group, which recently went public.

Upcoming Deposition of Donald Trump

According to Reuters, Donald Trump is scheduled to be deposed on April 15 at 10 a.m. in New York by lawyers for co-founders of Trump Media as part of a dispute over ownership of the company.

It will coincide with the commencement of Trump's hush money trial, the first of the former president's four criminal cases scheduled to go before a jury, but depositions often get rescheduled.

Through the firm United Atlantic Ventures they founded, Trump Media co-founders Wesley Moss and Andrew Litinsky filed their lawsuit in Delaware against Trump, alleging that the former president tried to "drastically dilute" their stake in the company and prevent them from selling it.

They said they were promised an 8.6% stake in pre-merger Trump Media stock for their role in launching the company.

In response, Trump Media filed a lawsuit against Wesley Moss and Andrew Litinsky in Florida on March 24, seeking to revoke their stock, which it claimed they did not earn because of mismanagement.

Delaware Judge Sam Glasscock also indicated plans to preside over a hearing to resolve the dispute before April ends. Trump reportedly owned 90% of Trump Media before its merger last month with blank check firm Digital World Acquisition Corp. that took the company public.
