Elon Musk is preparing to reveal his new Tesla robotaxi. However, many analysts argued that this isn't what he needs to solve his EV problems.
Experts explained why Elon Musk's decision to focus on Tesla robotaxis and cancel his affordable EV is a bad idea.
Tesla Robotaxi Isn't What Elon Musk Needs, Claim Analysts
Yahoo News reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk would soon unveil the new Tesla robotaxi. People familiar with its unveiling said it could happen before 2024 ends.
Although this is quite exciting for Tesla fans, analysts say it's a bad idea since Robotaxis can't solve Elon Musk's EV problems. They claim the billionaire should focus on a sub-$30,000 EV in the next 18 months.
"If robotaxis is viewed as the 'magic model' to replace Model 2 we would view this as a debacle negative for the Tesla story," said Wedbush analysts.
"It would be a risky gamble if Tesla moved away from the Model 2 and went straight to robotaxis," they added.

Elon Musk Cancels Sub-$30K Tesla
According to Car and Driver, Tesla canceled the sub-$30,000 compact SUV. It was revealed that Elon Musk and his team have been working on this EV model for the past few years.
When the tech executive tested this Tesla EV, he said it would have a $25,000 price and a fully autonomous feature. Aside from this, he promised that it would arrive within three years.
Unfortunately, the sub-$30,000 Tesla compact SUV has been halted since Elon Musk and his EV company decided to focus on the arrival of Tesla robotaxis.
