CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński has lauded the company's successful financial performance, showcasing its record-breaking annual revenues exceeding $60 million during fiscal 2023, according to Game Developer.
This milestone represents a massive achievement for the Lords of the Fallen developer, with revenue soaring by 400 percent year-over-year.
It's worth noting that this timing coincided with CI Games' decision to lay off 10% of its workforce, which made them face criticism earlier in the year. The CEO defended the move and deemed it necessary to ensure business stability.
Tymiński, remains optimistic about CI Games' future prospects, acknowledging the continued momentum driven by the successful launch of Lords of the Fallen, which accounted for a substantial 83% of the company's sales revenue across the year.
Despite the human cost associated with the layoffs, Tymiński's comments on the company's full-year report reflect a sense of confidence in CI Games' strategic direction. Additionally, amidst ongoing developments, including the forthcoming releases of Project Survive and Project 3, CI Games is poised to use this recent success and expand its portfolio further, aiming to capitalize on "lots" of opportunities ahead.
