FairPrice Group (FPG) has exciting news for all NTUC union members and Link members in Singapore.
According to a report from The Straits Times, FPG is offering savings and discounts worth over $4.5 million at its supermarkets and selected Kopitiam outlets throughout May and June.
The same report tells us that these offers even surpass last year's numbers, with this year's savings doubling the $2 million worth of discounts offered for May Day in 2023.
Savings and Discounts Rolling Out
Starting from April 25, weekly promotions will feature a 50% discount on selected essential items exclusively for union members for three weeks. Kicking off the deals, from April 25 to 28, shoppers can snag a 5kg pack of Double FP Thai Hom Mali Rice for just $6.95, down from the usual price of $13.90.
More exciting deals will be unveiled closer to May 1 and May 9, so keep an eye out for those.
In celebration of May Day, FairPrice Foundation is teaming up with Kopitiam to offer union members coffee and tea for a mere 50 cents per cup at selected outlets throughout May and June.
In addition, on May Day itself, children of union members will receive a free cup of Milo with any purchase of the 50-cent promo beverage.
There's more! Starting May Day, union members who sign up for the FPG app for the first time will receive a $5 e-voucher. This bonus comes in addition to the existing 10% discount they already enjoy when paying at Kopitiam Foodcourts using the app.

Greater Value Every Day
And the savings don't stop there! FPG is also offering a one percentage point discount on the goods and services tax (GST) for over 500 daily essential items until June 30. Additionally, special discounts are available for Pioneer or Merdeka Generation seniors and Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) Blue cardholders on designated shopping days.
With its "Greater Value Every Day" initiative, FPG freezes the prices of 50 essential items each month out of a pool of 500, providing consistent savings for shoppers.
Since its establishment in 2019, FPG has returned over $900 million in discounts, rebates, and donations to its members, customers, and the community.
NTUC secretary-general Ng Chee Meng expressed the organization's commitment to helping Singaporean workers manage their day-to-day expenses by offering such deals through social enterprises like FairPrice Group.
