Drunk American Tutor Allegedly Breaks Into Children's Library

Based on the Russian tabloid Izvestia, CCTV footage shows a partially naked William Nycum allegedly breaking into a children's library.

In local media, Nykum's visa allowed him to stay in Russia for up to six months, although it's unknown when he entered and how his arrest will affect him.

His reported detention comes only days after an American soldier visiting a lover in Russia's port city of Vladivostok was arrested on suspicion of stealing from her and is still in custody, according to various US authorities as per Mirror reported.

According to US officials, Staff Sgt. Gordon Black, 34, was stationed in South Korea and was on his way back to Fort Cavazos in Texas.

Instead, officials said Black, who is married, went to Russia to visit a longstanding girlfriend.

Willliam Nikum Missing After Night Out, Claims Kidnapping

According to a source who spoke with local broadcaster Ren TV, Nikum went missing after a night out on May 2 and claimed to have been kidnapped when he reconnected with his pals.

He became drunk and got into a fight with his companions at a bar. His detention merely complicates US-Russia ties, which have been increasingly strained as the conflict in Ukraine grinds on.

The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters.
