Donald Trump Allegedly Asks $1 Billion from Oil CEOs

According to Electrek, the GOP presidential runner has been commenting against electric vehicles since the start of his campaign efforts. But, the latest allegation against him could be the most serious one he possibly made.

At a dinner at his Mar-a-Lago home and club, Donald Trump reportedly made a jaw-dropping pitch to oil leaders, as reported by The Guardian. He allegedly promised to end EV incentives if they could donate $1 billion to his election campaign.

He reportedly said he would increase oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Aside from this, the ex-POTUS said that he would remove hurdles to drilling in the Alaskan Arctic.

Another surprising remark he made was regarding his plan to overturn the Biden Administration's decision to halt new natural gas export permits, which Joe Biden describes as climate bombs.

After hearing the news regarding Donald Trump's alleged appeal to oil executives, various environmental groups denounced his comments. Among them is Climate Power's Christina Polizzi, who said that if he wins the presidential election, Trump will put the planet's future up for sale.

"$1bn for Trump, a devastating climate future for the rest of us," stated LCV (League of Conservation Voters) Senior Vice President of Campaigns Pete Maysmith.

In addition to environmental organizations, groups monitoring the influence of money in politics were also triggered by Donald Trump's alleged remarks.
