Server General Launches Data-Encrypted Cloud Migration Service

Data security company Server General introduced Thursday (May 9) its new data-encrypted cloud migration service called Transfer General. 

Server General Launches Google Cloud-Ready Data Encryption

In a press release, the Baldwin, New York firm said that Transfer General is a solution "tailored" for data users requiring constant encryption at all times, including cloud migrations. 

Server General CEO Raj Sharma said the process could be done at speeds up to 100 gigabytes per second (Gbps). Transfer General also claims to be included in the Google Cloud Ready-Regulated & Sovereignty Solutions Initiative. Sharma added that the inclusion affirmed what it said as its "unwavering commitment to data security and compliance."

Cloud Migration Service

On the other hand, Google Cloud head of Cloud partner engineering Vikram Garlapati also said that their end has recognized partner solutions that met Google Cloud's core set of requirements to allow seamless migration in assured workload environments and regions with digital sovereignty demands. 

The company said that Transfer General could be accessed through the Google Cloud Marketplace and that data center customers could download a 30-day evaluation copy from the Server General website. Depending on the customer's needs, the service offers a versatile virtual appliance and a managed service.
