OpenAI is introducing an enhanced version of its artificial intelligence model, which powers its chatbot, ChatGPT.
OpenAI Releases GPT-4o with Advanced Real-Time Capabilities
OpenAI has recently released their latest model, GPT-4o. The latest version of its GPT-4 model has been released, surpassing the one-year mark since its initial launch.
Reuters reported that the new advanced language model, trained on extensive data from the internet, will excel in processing text, audio, and images in real-time. The updates will be released in the near future.
During a livestream event, OpenAI researchers demonstrated the latest audio capabilities of ChatGPT. Users can now engage in realistic conversations with the AI voice assistant, speaking to it and receiving real-time responses without any delay.
Moreover, users can even interrupt ChatGPT while it is speaking, replicating the natural flow of a conversation. Instead of using separate AI models for different inputs, GPT-4o, which stands for omni, integrates voice, text, and vision into one model.
This enables it to outperform its predecessor in terms of speed. As an illustration, when you provide the system with an image prompt, it is capable of generating a response in the form of an image.
According to OpenAI, the new model boasts twice the speed and significantly improved efficiency.
Users Can Now Access ChatGPT 4-o
With the latest update, free users will now have access to a range of features that were previously exclusive to paid subscribers of ChatGPT.
These include the ability to search the web for answers, engage in conversation with the chatbot using different voices, and store information for future reference.

The release of GPT-4o is set to make waves in the ever-changing AI landscape, where GPT-4 continues to be the benchmark.
Several startups and major tech companies, such as Anthropic, Cohere, and Google (Alphabet Inc.), have recently released AI models that they claim outperform or equal the performance of GPT-4 in specific benchmarks.
