Parcel delivery giant FedEx Corp has resumed international priority inbound and outbound services in Ukraine after a two-year suspension, according to a report by Reuters.
FedEx Resumes Operations in Ukraine After 2 Years
The parcel delivery company halted its operations in the region following Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
While FedEx has restarted its services in Ukraine, operations in Belarus and Russia will still be suspended. The company made this update available on its website, stating that services in the other two countries will not be restored despite the partial resumption.
Similarly, United Parcel Service (UPS) continues to suspend its services in Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. Both FedEx and UPS had ceased operations in these regions in response to the conflict, aligning with many other international companies that limited their activities in the affected areas.
The return of FedEx services in Ukraine may help improve connectivity and commerce as the country continues to navigate the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict.

FedEx Operations in Russia, Belarus Still Suspended
However, according to the company's statement, the suspension of all Russian and Belarusian FedEx International services remains in effect until further notice.
Meanwhile, FedEx has announced that its services to and from Israel have been reinstated.
In recent news, there was an incident involving FedEx employees who found themselves trapped in a building in Portage, Michigan, following a tornado that caused part of the structure to collapse. The employees were later evacuated.
According to sources, there was a situation at the FedEx building on Portage Road where many individuals were trapped at some point. Fortunately, all individuals were safely evacuated, and according to a statement from FedEx, no severe injuries were reported.
