Trailer Overturns During Wedding Procession in India, Killing 13 Including 4 Children

A tragic accident occurred near Rajgarh on Saturday (June 1), resulting in the loss of 13 lives, including four children. A trailer carrying a marriage party overturned near Piplodi outpost, causing this devastating incident.

Wedding Procession in India Turns Fatal

Based on initial reports, approximately 30 marriage processions in tractor trolleys arrived in Kulampura village in Rajgarh district, Rajasthan, after traveling from Motipura village police station Jawar.

An accident occurred around 9 p.m. near Piplodi in Rajgarh district, which is approximately 150 km north of Bhopal and just 2 km away from Rajasthan.

According to reports, the wedding guests were tightly packed into the tractor-trolley, with a few riding motorcycles.

Later, there was an incident where the tractor trolley overturned near Piplodi post. Thirteen individuals, including four young ones, tragically lost their lives as a result of being crushed under the trolley.

Simultaneously, medical professionals treat injured individuals at the district hospital, Times of India reported.

Four individuals have been referred to Bhopal, and their conditions are serious. The remaining individuals are currently receiving medical care at the hospital. The investigation is currently underway.

Injured Wedding Party Members Under Treatment in Rajgarh Hospital

The Rajgarh Collector, Harsh Dixit, mentioned that the individuals attending the wedding were coming from Rajasthan to the Rajgarh district.

"Up to this point, we have received details about 13 fatalities," stated collector Harsh Dixit in an interview with TOI. Approximately 15 individuals sustained injuries.

"Two individuals with more severe injuries have been transferred to Bhopal for medical treatment. The remaining individuals are currently receiving treatment at Rajgarh district hospital," Dixit said.

According to The Sun, the official mentioned that the injured individuals cannot provide any statements.

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, has offered his heartfelt condolences and assured that the state government is maintaining regular communication with the government of Rajasthan.
