Cucumber Recall Related To Ongoing Salmonella Outbreak
FDA officials said that the latest cucumber mass recall of Fresh Start Produce Sales, which it voluntarily conducted, is linked to an ongoing salmonella outbreak in the US.
Health experts have issued a serious warning: Salmonella can cause severe infections, especially in elderly people with weakened immune systems. Children, too, are at risk, experiencing symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, nausea, and vomiting.
In some cases, Salmonella can even lead to deadly infections among kids and elderly people. If you suspect that the cucumbers you purchased are contaminated with Salmonella, the best thing you can do is throw them away, avoid eating them, and call Fresh Start Produce Sales at 1-888-364-2993.
