France has charged a Palestinian man for allegedly financing terrorism and complicity in attempted murder after he was suspected of being involved in attacks against Israelis in the occupied West Bank in 2023.
France Charges Palestinian Man For Allegedly Financing Terrorism
According to AFP, the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office announced that the Palestinian man is being prosecuted for allegedly financing terrorism, involvement in attempted murder, and terrorist conspiracy with a view to preparing attacks against people.
The suspect believed to be associated with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed faction of Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas's Fatah party, has been placed in pre-trial detention.

Alleged Transferring of Funds
The Palestinian man, who is in his mid-30s, allegedly participated in attacks against Israelis and transferred funds to the Brigades in early 2023, according to AFP.
The anti-terrorist prosecutor's office initiated the investigation in December 2023 after Israeli authorities reported the matter to their French counterparts. An AFP source said the suspect has lived in France for several years.
