Texas Man Dead After Jacuzzi Electric Shock in Mexico Resort
Officials from the State of Sonora have reported that Jorge Guillen, 43, and Lizette Zambrano, 35, from El Paso, Texas, were enjoying a relaxing evening in a jacuzzi at Sonoran Sea Resort just after 8 pm on Tuesday (June 11).
According to Daily Mail, Jorge suffered an electric shock, and as per a report from Mexican outlet Norte Digital, his wife Lizette was taken to a hospital in the US and is currently in critical condition.
As authorities continue to investigate, they work to piece together the precise sequence of events. An unexpected electrical surge appeared in the tub while individuals were present.

Faulty Wiring Suspected in Sonora Jacuzzi Electrocution
According to the attorney general's office, the station has reported that the electrocution may have been caused by faulty wiring, NBC News reported.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office for the state of Sonora, an eyewitness initially observed that the couple in the jacuzzi was not showing any signs of movement.
The witness informed the authorities that she attempted to enter the tub upon realizing that the couple was unresponsive. However, she was met with a shocking surprise as she tried to enter.
A crowd gathers around a Jacuzzi, with onlookers screaming in distress as someone administers chest compressions to a person on the ground.
Meanwhile, a submerged body is floating in the water, and another person is lying flat on their back outside the jacuzzi. A woman can be seen administering CPR to the individual. The tourist couple were both dual Mexican-American citizens.
