Donald Trump Says Business Leaders Should Be '100% Behind' Him or Face Termination

Former President Donald Trump reportedly left a less than favorable impression among prominent American CEOs who attended the Business Roundtable's quarterly meeting last week.

Donald Trump Reportedly Left a Bitter Taste on Business Leaders

According to CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin, some attendees described the former president as "remarkably meandering" and struggling to maintain a straight thought.

One CEO even remarked that Donald Trump appeared to lack understanding of the topics, while two attendees said the former president offered few details on his plans to cut corporate taxes and regulations. This feedback has put Trump on the defensive.

Donald Trump Urges CEOs to Support Him Fully

In response, Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to assert that the meeting was a success despite the presence of what he described as "Biden sympathizers" among the CEOs. 

The former president wrote on Tuesday that business executives and shareholder representatives should be "100% behind" him or be fired for incompetence. Trump's comments have stirred controversy, highlighting the ongoing tension between the former president and some business community members.

His insistence on loyalty from business leaders has raised eyebrows, particularly given the critical assessments from some of the meeting's participants.
