Amazon announced Tuesday (June 25) that its 10th annual Prime Day sales event would be held this year on July 16-17, beginning at 00:01 Pacific Time (05:01 UTC).

According to the company's website, Prime members would be able to get access to millions of deals from several retail brands like Clinique, Allbirds, and Kiehl's.

TechCrunch reported that, aside from the United States, Prime Day sales would also be held in over 20 countries on the same date, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the UK.

Prime Day sale in India would be held later this year.

New Prime Day Deals

It is understood that the company is bringing back invite-only deals for this year's Prime Day event, where Prime subscribers could be able to request invitations from a product page by clicking a new button next to "add to cart." Members selected for a sale on the item would receive an email with instructions for purchasing the item.

Prime members could also avail early deals, including a five-month free subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited, a three-month trial for its new grocery service on orders above $35 on Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and other partner stores.

Amazon's 2023 Prime Day boosted record sales, with US shoppers spending $12.7 billion, which was 6.1% more than they did in 2022, according to Adobe Analytics data.

On the other hand, Numerator data showed that the firm's average order size also went up from $52.26 in 2022 to $54.05 in 2023.

The Verge and Axios reported that Amazon would be working with select partners to officiate equivalent sales, specifically from smaller brands like PopSockets to rival a similar scheme in line with Walmart's Deals event on July 8.
