Pharmaceutical research company Hepregen names new Chief Financial Officer

Massachusetts-based Hepregen Corp. announced Wednesday that Martin J. Joyce joined the company as the new CFO as well as vice president of finance and administration.

Hepregen Corp., which was established in Medford, Massachusetts, is a life science company that specialises in developing solutions for liver toxicity of today's pharmaceuticals. It was founded and financed by Battelle Venture Partners with technology approved by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Joyce, previously a Danforth Advisors Group member, assumed C-level leadership positions in biotechnology, medical device and pharmaceutical companies that range from start-up to US$500 million-income entities prior to joining Hepregen. He also developed a broad portfolio of skills and accomplishments that include business development, strategic planning, public equity financings and biotechnology operations.

"Hepregen is privileged to have Marty join our senior management team," remarked Hepregen's Chief Executive Officer Dr. Vincent Zurawski about his colleague. "His broad experience in international finance adds a particularly important capability to our execution effort."
