Omega Power Batteries Corp., a lithium-ion battery startup, is on a mission to revolutionize the American energy landscape and make its initial impact in the underserved but very profitable product applications outside of the dominant electric vehicle (EV) market. Recognizing a critical shortage of domestically produced batteries for these smaller-scale applications, the company is stepping up to fill this gap while prioritizing safety, sustainability, and national security.

Filling the Domestic Battery Gap

A 2023 report revealed that the U.S. captures less than 30% of the economic value from each battery cell sold domestically, highlighting a significant reliance on imports. This reliance is particularly concerning as many imported batteries, especially those from China, have been linked to dangerous flameout incidents due to flammable electrolytes. Omega Power is addressing this issue head-on by manufacturing American-made batteries with non-flammable electrolytes, aligning with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and allowing its customers to qualify for tax credits. Furthermore, Omega Power ensures that its raw materials are 80% domestically sourced, meeting the criteria for "Made in America" battery products.

Strategic Partnerships and Rapid Growth

Omega Power's commitment to serving the domestic market is evident in its strong partnerships. The company has secured a Master Service Agreement (MSA) with Ryvid Inc., a California-based e-motorcycle manufacturer, with a projected demand of up to 420 MWh by 2031. Additionally, a sales distribution partnership with Soteria Battery Innovation Group opens doors to major OEMs like Lenovo and Motorola, with an initial demand of 50 MWh that could potentially scale to 500 MWh.

Beyond these partnerships, Omega Power's Customer Acquisition Program (CAP) is actively bringing onboard new customers, including drone manufacturers and government vendors. With plans for a 250 MWh battery cell assembly line in partnership with Felix Machines as the facility operator, Omega Power anticipates $123 million in revenue within three years and profitability within 18 months of receiving funding.

Next-Generation Battery Technology

Omega Power is not stopping at lithium-ion batteries. The company, in collaboration with its commercialization partner, Polaris Battery Labs, is developing a groundbreaking lithium-metal battery that eliminates the need for graphite, achieving a remarkable 50% increase in energy density. This innovation is particularly timely with an impending 100% tariff on graphite imports from China. Omega Power's "anode-free" battery design is a game-changer, offering electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers a path to increased range without requiring significant infrastructure changes as this innovation seamlessly integrates with existing production lines, unlike solid-state technologies.

Championing Safety, Sustainability, and Domestic Production

Omega Power's commitment to safety goes beyond using non-flammable electrolytes. Their "anode-free" design also eliminates the need for metallic lithium in the manufacturing process, mitigating the risks associated with this volatile material. Moreover, the company champions sustainability by sourcing active cathode materials from recycled end-of-life batteries and building a robust domestic supply chain.

As CEO Samuel R. Hashim states, "Every battery-powered device made in America should have an American-made battery." Omega Power's planned 250-megawatt assembly plant, a quarter of the size of a gigafactory, underscores this commitment to meeting domestic demand and establishing itself as a reliable partner for OEMs seeking U.S.-based battery suppliers.

Investment Opportunity

Omega Power is seeking $25 million in funding to establish a 250 MWh capacity cell assembly line and complete the development of its next-generation lithium-metal battery. With a promising revenue projection of $123 million within three years of operation, Omega Power represents a compelling investment opportunity for those looking to support a company driving innovation, economic growth, and a more secure energy future for the United States.
