British Businessman Found Dead, Floating Near Greek Island After Night Out — A businessman from Ghana was discovered dead at his hotel in Seoul on Tuesday. He was in South Korea to attend an event related to the Korea-Africa Summit.

The body of a British businessman discovered floating in the waters near a picturesque Greek island has been identified as Stuart Bradshaw, a 44-year-old businessman from Essex.

Bradshaw, an investment developer residing near Colchester, had traveled to participate in a well-attended sailing regatta near the island of Spetses.

According to Daily Mail, he was a member of a team participating in a yearly regatta held from June 26 to 29. An investigation was initiated into his death following the discovery of an injury to the left side of his head.

According to Greek officials, it has been confirmed that no criminal case is involved and the cause of death has been determined as accidental drowning, as reported by news site Protothema.

According to reports, Bradshaw had gone to a bar with friends but did not return with them to their hotel. Tragically, he was discovered deceased the following day near the Tsaldari pier in the Old Port.

Officials have reported that the body of Bradshaw was discovered floating in the sea in the island's old port area. An official found a "gash" on the side of Bradshaw's head, which they described as "puzzling" before the post mortem examination.

It is speculated that Bradshaw arrived on the island with a group of friends to participate in the three-day Regatta, a popular event that draws numerous sailing enthusiasts each year. He brought along his 26-foot US Cup-style boat.

In a tribute, the British businessman's family remembered him as someone who will be dearly missed and loved by many. His death was described as a "tragic accident."

A local resident expressed deep sadness and shock over the tragedy, emphasizing that such incidents are extremely rare in this renowned Greek island often referred to as the Monte Carlo of Greece.

Spetses, easily accessible from Athens by ferry in just two hours, is renowned as a destination favored by the affluent and well-known.

Among the residents of this Greek destination are some of the most affluent individuals in the country. Notable figures like Sir Selios Haji-Ioannou, the founder of easyJet, own opulent villas in this area.

With a population of only 3,700, this small town hosts an annual regatta that draws participants from across Europe. Established in 2011, this event has become the go-to sailing event in Greece, attracting a staggering number of up to 400 traditional wooden boats.

With this latest incident, the number of tourist fatalities in Greece has now reached eight in just over a month.

Several individuals, including the well-known British TV doctor presenter Michael Mosley, tragically lost their lives while hiking in the scorching temperatures that have been affecting the Mediterranean region in the past few weeks, The Sun reported.
