Turkey's TOGG and China's GAC talks signal a major step towards the first bilateral automotive cooperation between the countries, especially since China has been spending hundreds of billions on its EV industry, according to VCPost.
Currently, China is leaving a massive influence in Asia despite facing tariffs from Western countries. Recently, China's BYD opened an EV factory in Thailand and has been surpassing European competitors in performance.
GAC executives' visit to TOGG later this month could potentially pave the way for collaborative ventures that would impact the EV market dynamics of China and Turkey.
