Utah authorities stated that a bulldozer destroyed the vehicle of a 57-year-old CEO and his teenage daughter last week, killing both.
Lifetime Products CEO Richard David Hendrickson and his 16-year-old daughter Sally were killed July 6 in Ogden Canyon when a compact bulldozer fell off a tow truck and hit their automobile.
Lifetime Products CEO and Daughter Killed by Bulldozer Collision
Utah's Department of Public Safety stated Monday, July 8, that the eastbound tow truck was turning on State Route 39 when the bulldozer "broke free" at 12:49 p.m. as Hendrickson drew up beside him in the other lane.
According to Daily Mail, Hendrickson and his daughter died at the site, while his wife and two other children in the car were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Gov. Spencer Cox remarked on X, formerly Twitter, "Richard was a friend and incredible leader. We are heartbroken by his tragic passing with his daughter Sally. We mourn with the surviving members of his family and pray they will find comfort and healing."

Road Where Incident Happened Pose 'Substantial Risk'
On Tuesday, July 9, Lifetime Products executive vice president Vince Rhoton said the family was wakeboarding and waterskiing at a nearby reservoir before "the very, very random accident." He remembers Hendrickson as a good father who encouraged his kids' hobbies, like chicken-raising.
Nearly 4,000 people signed an online petition to regulate Highway 39 vehicle categories. It says the two-lane road is "a lifeline" for villagers but dangerous, "flanked by the Ogden River on one side and mountain cliffs on the other."
