Taco Bell Will Give away Freebies and Stanley Cups for Baja Blast’s 20th Anniversary Celebration

Taco Bell is giving away freebies, merchandise, and Stanley Cups in celebration of the 20th anniversary of fan-favorite drink Baja Blast.

In 2004, Taco Bell debuted the Mountain Dew Baja Blast, a tropical lime-flavored soft drink created exclusively for the chain. Since its debut, Baja Blast has become a frequent addition to the orders of many customers.

"For two decades, MTN DEW BAJA BLAST has been the drink that loyal fans just can't get enough of. We're extremely proud of the synonymous, iconic duo Taco Bell and BAJA BLAST have become," Taylor Montgomery, Chief Marketing Officer at Taco Bell, said in a statement.

"We're celebrating this incredible milestone just as much as our die-hard Baja fans and can't wait to share even more epic experiences, innovations, and rewards as we continue to fuel our fans' love for BAJA BLAST."

Taco Bell's Bajaversary

The chain's 20th Bajaversary celebration will kick off on July 29 with the Free Bajaversary Freeze or Drink offer. On that day, Taco Bell will give either a medium-sized Baja Blast fountain drink or a regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze for free to all customers who order at their local stores or through the Taco Bell app.

On Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. PST, Taco Bell's reward members will have the chance to win a limited-edition Stanley X Bajaversay tumbler. The first 20 customers who redeem the Stanley Cups will also be able to enjoy a free Baja Blast for a year.

On Sept. 3, Taco Bell will re-debut the Baja Blast Gelato for rewards members in the Taco Bell app. The gelato initially saw a limited release in 2023 and will also only be available for a limited time.

In addition to the freebies, the chain will continue its $1 happier hour promo, which runs daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free refills will also be offered year-round to customers who dine at a store.

Furthermore, Taco Bell teased plans to introduce a Baja Blast Pie later this year.

"MTN DEW BAJA BLAST and Taco Bell have proven to be an unbeatable match over the years and all the credit goes to our brands loyal fanbases," JP Bittencourt, Vice President of Marketing at Mountain Dew, said in the announcement. "We're constantly inspired by our fans and feed off their energy, which drives our urge to deliver breakthrough innovations and exclusive offerings to thank those who have supported us - whether it's our diehard fans from day one to new consumers who continue to join our fandom each and every day."
