Simon Cowell will have his first born through Lauren Silverman, the wife of his close friend, Andrew. According to reports, she is 10 weeks along in her pregnancy and in the middle of a nasty divorce.
"The pregnancy has taken him by surprise," stated a source who was purportedly close to Cowell. "Simon thought this was a casual relationship - friends with benefits. The pregnancy was not planned. He is feeling tricked," the source added.
Cowell became famous for being one of the judges in "X Factor". The show was created through Cowell's company, Syco Entertainment. The company, simply known as Syco, was the result of a venture between Cowell and Sony Music Entertainment. Each had a 50% stake in the company that focused on production and marketing of music, television, film, and digital content.
Syco's earnings were supposedly boosted by the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Earnings before taxes from its TV production business increased by more than 50% for the fiscal year ending March 2012. The company's revenue from the US alone increased from US$5 million to US$37 million and accounted for 42% of Syco's total revenue.
