Fei-Fei Li's World Labs
According to Bloomberg, World Labs will be entirely controlled by users. This means Fei-Fei Li's World Labs will be providing AI models that can make decisions withn and as a 3D world. Called as 'large world models,' it's expected to cater towards individual professionals, such as developers and engineers, as well as game companies and studios.
Li will be living up to her 'Godmother of AI' title with this ambitious startup aiming to push AI beyond boundaries.
With a massive capital and expectation to start creating models as early as 2025, the report also noted that Li will likely step down as Stanford Unviversity's co-director for the Human-Centered AI division. She will be joined by three more founders with expertise in AI as well.
At the moment, World Labs has already 20 employees. As the startup grows, Li, during her TED Talk, hopes to see artificial intelligence linked with a perception of action which is currently beyond its capabilities.
