Roark Capital's Corner Bakery Cafe names new vice president

By

Restaurant chain Corner Bakery Cafe announced the promotion of Gregg Koffler to vice president of franchise sales earlier today. Along with the promotion, Koffler was assigned to oversee the franchise division's sales and growth.

Koffler started as director of franchise sales for Western U.S. upon joining Corner Bakery Cafe last May and was primarily responsible for the company's successful expansion throughout the western division. Prior to joining Corner Bakery Cafe, Koffler was Global Hyatt's U.S. Franchise System's director of franchise sales.

"Gregg is the perfect choice to lead Corner Bakery Cafe's franchise sales team at this stage in our growth," commented Corner Bakery Cafe president Gary Price on the promotion. "With 288 committed and unfulfilled cafes, more than 61 of those signed just in the last 60 days, the exceptional caliber of franchisees Gregg and the rest of the sales team have been attracting to the brand is a testament to the tremendous growth potential ahead."

Corner Bakery Cafe, which was established in 1991, is a fast-casual restaurant chain owned and operated by CBC Restaurant Corp and has greater than 150 company-owned and franchised units across the U.S.

Atlanta-based private equity firm Roark Capital Group acquired Corner Bakery Cafe in 2011.
