Authorities in Littleton, Massachusetts, are investigating a suspicious fire that heavily damaged several Tesla charging stations.

The fire, which broke out on Monday afternoon, has raised concerns among local law enforcement, who believe the blaze may have been intentionally set.

Around 1 pm on Monday, fire and police departments responded to reports of a fire at The Point Shopping Center on Constitution Avenue, located approximately 35 miles outside of Boston, USA Today said.

When they arrived, they found several Tesla supercharging stations engulfed in flames, producing heavy, dark smoke. A total of seven charging stations were damaged in the blaze, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Littleton Electric Light & Water Department was quickly called to the scene to shut off the power, and the fire was eventually extinguished. Following the incident, investigators from the State Police Fire Investigation Unit were notified.

According to a statement from the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services, the investigators determined the fire had been set deliberately.

"Based on evidence at the scene, Littleton Fire, Littleton Police, and State Police fire investigators collectively determined that the fire had been intentionally set," the press release stated.

Arson Attack on Tesla Charging Stations Linked to Protests Against Elon Musk

The fire is part of a disturbing trend of incidents involving Tesla vehicles and equipment, with some speculating that these acts may be linked to protests against Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Last week, a similar event occurred in Colorado when a man was charged after explosives were found at a Tesla dealership, further raising concerns about attacks on Tesla-related businesses.

As the investigation continues, police are urging the public to come forward with any information that may help identify the person or people responsible for the arson.

According to FoxNews, authorities have set up the Arson Watch Reward Program Hotline, offering up to $5,000 for tips leading to an arrest or conviction. Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling 1-800-682-9229.

The exact motivations behind these attacks remain unclear, some believe they are connected to political tensions surrounding Musk's ties with former President Donald Trump.

While Tesla has yet to release an official comment on the incident, the growing number of attacks on Tesla properties is becoming a cause for concern in both the local community and the broader national context.

Authorities continue their search for the person responsible and are hopeful that the public's assistance will help bring the situation to a resolution.

The investigation into this fire is ongoing, and Littleton authorities are committed to uncovering the full details surrounding the incident.
