The UK government has issued urgent warnings for two products sold on Amazon, advising consumers to stop using them immediately due to serious safety risks.
The warnings were issued by the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) on April 11, after the items were rejected at the UK border.
The two products in question are the Togetdream 3D Printed Dinosaur Toy and a Waxing and Polishing Machine. Both have been flagged for safety concerns that could lead to choking hazards or electric shocks.
According to DailyMail, the Togetdream 3D Printed Dinosaur Toy has been identified as a significant safety risk for young children.
Authorities have flagged the toy due to a small detachable bone accessory, designed to fit in the dinosaur's mouth, which poses a potential choking hazard.
The product's labeling does not provide adequate warnings, and children under 36 months could mistakenly place the small bone in their mouths, causing them to choke.
The toy has been found to be non-compliant with the safety standards set forth in the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011, raising concerns about its suitability for young children.

Choking Risk Found in Dinosaur Toy and Electric Shock Danger in Polishing Machine
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) highlighted the choking risk associated with the toy, noting that it includes a detachable bone meant to fit in the dinosaur's mouth.
Due to the lack of proper labeling, the toy could pose a danger to children under 36 months, who may place the small part in their mouth and potentially choke.
Meanwhile, the Waxing and Polishing Machine was found to pose a severe risk of electric shock and fire. The device, a 12V unbranded cordless polisher, failed to meet safety standards for its transformer and plug design, GBNews said.
The transformer's poor build quality and the inadequate wiring connections create a risk of electric shock.
Additionally, the product failed to meet the dimensional requirements specified by UK safety standards. As a result, it was removed from Amazon's platform and barred from entry at the border.
According to the OPSS, "The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the transformer was of poor build quality and did not meet the requirements for creepage and clearance... The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery Regulations 2008 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. Regulations 2024."
Both products were manufactured in China, and although they have been removed from Amazon, consumers who have already purchased them are urged to stop using them immediately.
The OPSS is also investigating other potentially dangerous products sold on online platforms, continuing their efforts to ensure the safety of items available to UK consumers.
As for the two dangerous products, the UK authorities recommend consumers return them if purchased or safely dispose of them.
