Pebbles Interfaces announced that it had raised about US$11 million in its second round of financing. Existing investor iNetworks committed investments in this round but venture capital firms Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH and Giza Venture Capital spearheaded the funding. Participating in this round as strategic investors were Xiaomi and SanDisk. Pebbles Interfaces is a motion gesture company based in Kfar Saba, Israel.
"Our technology revolutionizes the way people interface with devices. The company's gesture technology enables smartphones, PCs, smart TVs and other devices to be controlled by natural and intuitive human gestures. In line with our vision, to naturally interface with everything, we can now acquire any object as an interface pod - be it your hand, your head, a smartphone, or any other object you can think of," CEO of Pebbles Interfaces Emil Alon said.
Doron Levit, VP of Business Development at Pebbles Interfaces, said that the firm is working hard on developing a new generation of natural interfaces. The company wants to turn any surface or object into some sort of a controller, Levit said.
