AXA Private Equity, NTT Communications Corporation, and Arkadin International SAS together announced today that they have signed an exclusive agreement over NTT Communications' acquisition of a controlling stake in Arkadin. Arkadin is the world's third-biggest collaboration service provider. NTT Communications is said to acquire a 91.2% stake in Arkadin. The agreement, however, is still subject to the approval of antitrust authorities.
Arkadin provides an extensive range of conference-related solutions that cover services that unify communications. These solutions include audio, web, and video conferencing services as well. Arkadin has recorded double-digit revenue growth since AXA Private Equity's financial commitment in 2012. The investment allowed Arkadin to reinforce its leading market status through a range of critical developments. These developments include the buyout of Novasight, a video conference specialist.
"With the acquisition of one of the fastest growing players in the industry, NTT reaffirms its ambition to develop services in the collaboration business for all of its partners and clients across the world. Arkadin's global seamless customer service and infrastructure will strengthen NTT Com's offering in both global conferencing services and total solutions, incorporating unified communications," NTT Communications' Senior Vice President Toru Maruoka explained.
