White & Case announced that it hired its newest partner off US rival Kirkland & Ellis. Ross Allardice joined White & Case August 5th. His arrival will bring White & Case' partner count to 67. The company said the hiring would strengthened its London private equity capabilities.
Mr. Allardice spent a year shy of a decade at Kirkland where he was made a partner in October 2010. He has extensive practical experience in the major areas of corporate law. The company stated he is particularly experienced in the structuring of leveraged buyouts and private equity deals in Europe.
White & Case had been seeking to improve its private equity practice. The company had overseen and have advised 102 deals with a combined value of US$95 billion within the first half of the year.
"Ross is joining us as part of our strategy to strengthen our market-leading global M&A practice and continue the expansion of our European private equity practice," John Reiss, an executive at White & Case, said.
