Skimlinks acquires InvisibleHand

By

Skimlinks bought InvisibleHand for an undisclosed amount. InvisibleHand is a company that provides real-time pricing intelligence and product matching in the eCommerce space. Their browser extension already saved users worth USD 1 billion as it points customers to the lowest price even without going to a price comparison website. Forward Internet Group, an investment group based in London owns majority of the InvisibleHand. The deal gave Forward Internet Group a minority equity share in Skimlinks, a content monetization platform.

InvisibleHand CEO and Founder Robin Landy considered Skimlinks his company's perfect partner. "Skimlinks is the perfect partner for the next stage of InvisibleHand's development, with an amazing team, a great reputation and shared values and culture. I'm excited by the opportunity to turbo-charge Skimlinks' core products, but also to make InvisibleHand's unique dataset and services available across the broadest range of applications," he said.

Skimlinks CEO and Founder Alicia Navarro agreed. She praised the team at InvisibleHand for having tackled the problem of "algorithmically matching large product data sets across multiple retailers, and pairing that information with accurate price data" successfully.
