Entertainment Arts and Humble Bundle released a more enticing offer to gamers. EA raised its original 6 games-in-one bundle to a total of 8 games. Gamers can now get "Mirror's Edge", "Dead Space", "Dead Space 3", "Burnout Paradise", "Crysis 3 Maximum Edition", "Medal of Honor" and The Ultimate Box" for just USD1. Customers who wish to pay than the average price of GBP3.04 or USD4.72 will be able to avail freebies - "Battlefield 3", "The Sims 3" plus the Starter Pack, game review site IGN reports.
Humble Bundle was pioneered by Wolfire Games' Jeff Rosen. The bundle concept was to provide the purchaser the ability to control prices over collections, or bundles of digital products. eBooks, video games and music albums are popular Humble Bundles that have been distributed and purchased online.
Portions of the profits from the EA Humble Bundle will be given to the chosen charities. The beneficiaries are the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, American Red Cross, Human Rights Campaign, Watsi and the American Cancer Society. Amount raised as to date is over USD250,000.
EA closed at USD26.66, 0.41% up from yesterday. This was despite EA Sports losing its NCAA branding as reported by CNN.
