Restorando raised USD 13.3 million for its Series B round. Flybridge Capital Partners, a new investor, led the round. Existing investors Kaszek Ventures, Emergence Capital Partners, Atomico, Storm Ventures and The Endeavor Catalyst Fund also participated in the funding round. In its Series A round, Restorando scored USD 3.7 million, bringing their fundraising total to USD 17 million.
Restorando is a cloud-based reservations platform serving restaurants and diners in Latin America. The system is free to diners and is enabled for mobile users. Restorando said it would use the funds gathered for expansion. The system currently serves 9 major cities in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. The funding would allow them to grow in other Latin American countries.
As part of the agreement, General Partner of Flybridge Capital Partners Jon Karlen would become part of Restorando's Board of Directors. Karlen lauded the job the Buenos Aires-based company has done since it was launced in 2011. "With thousands of restaurants and more than 2 million diners now using the platform, it has quickly established itself as the dominant player in the market. We are thrilled to back the Restorando team and look forward to working with them as they continue to grow and expand," he added.
