Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. has a new Head to its international and institutional banking division. Former Lloyds Banking Group Plc executive Andrew Geczy was appointed as new Head of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group's International and Institutional Banking division. The fifty year-old Geczy is set to start on September 16 and will hold office in Melbourne, ANZ said in a statement. The new Head will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Michael Smith.
"Andrew provides a significant addition to ANZ's management bench strength," Smith had said in a statement, "He is an experienced banker with a track record in leading international growth businesses including Asia," he further added. Smith has stated that he aims to boost as much as 30 percent of the bank's total profit outside Australia and New Zealand by 2017 from last year's 21 percent.
Before joining Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd., Andrew Geczy was a division head at Lloyds Banking Group Plc, primarily in charge of the wholesale and banking markets unit.
