New York mayoralty candidate Anthony Weiner has not been out of the spotlight even if his candidacy is deemed doomed by many. His downfall started when he inadvertently sent a picture of his 'package' on Twitter. Now months after resigning from Congress and now running for mayor of New York City, he admitted to have exchanged racy text messages as 'Carlos Danger', which again hounded his campaign to the doldrums.
Still on the campaign trail, Weiner entered a bakery and got into a heated argument with a heckler, a Jewish man who was also a customer in the shop. Weiner got into a verbal exchange with Shaul Kessler, after the latter called the candidate a 'scumbag' and being 'married to an Arab.'
The Jewish community in New York City has major clout not just in politics but in economics as well. Overall, people of the Jewish faith is a major economic force, which according to Forbes Israel, comprises 11% of the world's billionaires. This means there are 165 billionaires that are of the Jewish faith over all the 1426 billionaires in the world. This translates to cash amounting to USD812 billion, much of which are invested in businesses worldwide, including in New York City.
