The much awaited horror movie, "Insidious: Chapter 2", was released in theaters on September 13. HollywoodLife said, the sequel released on Friday the 13th of this month had been seen to be among the biggest horror movies of 2013.

Insidious 2 would hit theaters with more terror, thrills and evil spirits, said HollywoodLife. The horror movie was said to be even bigger this time around than the first Insidious film. However, reviews from different critics on the horror sequel were mostly negative.

The New York Times wrote, "The movie as a mess from start to end. The publication added that the movie would likely have another one in the making judging by its ending. Insidious 2 is the kind of lazy, halfhearted product that gave scary movies a bad name."

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, "Fans of the first Insidious movie would walk inside the theater knowing which Lambert family member is possessed. They would also know the nature of the supernatural forces in the movie. The only new twist to the chapter 2 of the horror flick would be the backstory and new drama added to it. The movie feels a little like sandwiching a cupcake with two waffles sprinkled with powdered sugar."

Insidious: Chapter 2 was created under IM Global studio. The company was established in 2007 by current CEO Stuart Ford. In May 2010, Reliance ADA Group's Reliance Entertainment acquired a major shareholding in the company. Reliance Entertainment is also a partner in Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks Pictures.
