The "Science Guy" Bill Nye said he is ready to bust a move on "Dancing with the Stars". The 57 year old TV personality had been selected to be a part of the new cast of participants on ABC dance competition. Nye joined other contenders including Valerie Harper, Keyshawn Johnson, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Leah Remini.
Nye told CBSNews.com in an interview, "There's nervous, and then there's this other level, which, I think we would go with terrified."
He also said that his rehearsals with partner Tyne Stecklein had been exhausting.
"I watch myself on video, I'm so bad. It's extraordinary. The guy has such horrible posture, he's so pigeon-toed -- how can he even move around on the Earth? He's so uncoordinated," Nye added.
"Dancing with the Stars" is aired on ABC Television Network. In 1996, The Walt Disney Company took over ABC Inc. through a merger transaction. This formed the ABC Television Network, operated through the company's subsidiary Disney-ABC Television Group. On January 2009, Disney-ABC Television Group said it would merge ABC Studios and ABC Entertainment into a new unit. The said new unit was named ABC Entertainment Group which was established later that year.
