San Francisco-based shuttle service provider RidePal announced that it was able to score USD 3.2 million in Series A funding today. The round was led by Claremont Creek Ventures and Volvo Group Venture Capital. RidePal provides shuttle service to workers of more than 30 companies within the San Francisco Bay area. They shuttle employees to and from 11 cities on a daily basis using the buses of partners Black Tie Transportation and Bauer Transportation. RidePal's customers include Intuit Inc, Groupon Inc and Clinovo, a biotech startup.
Claremont Creek Ventures Managing Director Nat Goldhaber said millions of people unnecessarily go through long and frustrating commutes two times a day. "A commuter strategy is necessary for companies to attract top talent and keep employees committed. RidePal solves these challenges," he added.
RidePal Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Nathalie Criou said they had witnessed tremendous growth in the past few months because of word of mouth recommendations from their clients. "We are excited to work with Claremont Creek Ventures and Volvo Group Venture Capital as their insights and domain expertise will prove immensely valuable in expanding our services," Criou added.
