PepsiCo Inc, the US based softdrink giant had announced its appointment of its new CEO for Asia, Middle East and Africa, Sanjeev Chadha to be made effective immediately.
Chadha would be reporting to Chairman and CEO Indra K. Nooyi. He would oversee all the aspects of Pepsico's business in the AMEA. Before assuming the new post, Chadha had served as president of PepsiCo Middle East an Africa.
According to Chairman Nooyi, "Sanjeev is one of the most respected senior leaders in the PepsiCo family and he has a strong track record of success. His leadership, experience and deep knowledge of the business, the region and its people will help to continue to drive success in AMEA."
Chadha would hold office in the PepsiCo office in Dubai. PepsiCo AMEA covers nearly two thirds of the world's population with 90 countries many of which are the world's emerging markets. Under his watch, the PepsiCo AMEA portfolio would include world renowned brands such as Pepsi-Cola, Mirinda, Lay's, Gatorade, Doritos, Lipton, Quaker, Tropicana and 7Up.
