After launching its dustproof and waterproof tablet M702 in March this year, Fujitsu unveiled another waterproof today. The Stylistic M702 tablet introduced a few months ago could remain immersed in one meter of water for half an hour without sustaining any damage.
Fujitsu's latest product, the 12.5-inch QH77/M offered something different than merely being waterproof. According to news website Engadget, the extractor fan of Fujitsu's QH77/M could also survive underwater. Engadget reported that the new feature is probably a good thing for the tablet. The QH77/M is powered by Intel's 1.6 GHz Core i5-4200U processor which is almost always needs to be cooled.
Meanwhile, the Japanese company reported a net loss of JPY 21.9 billion in the first quarter of this year. However, this was an improvement of JPY 3.5 billion compared to the same period last year. Net sales increased 4.4% to JPY 999.2 billion in the first quarter. Sales of Fujitsu abroad increased by 22.8% but in Japan, sales dropped by 5.7%.
