Reser's Fine Foods recalled ready-to-eat products due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. There were about 109,000 cases of refrigerated products recalled. These were made in the company's salad manufacturing plant in Topeka, KS. Products that were subject of the recall could be identified with a plant identifier code of 20 after the Use By Date or Best By Date. They were sold in retail and food service stores in the US and Canada.
So far, no illnesses had been reported as a result of the recall. The company said the products may be discarded or taken back to the store for a refund.
