Twitter fans reacted in various ways to the incident that occurred on Friday night in the pre-game festivities between the Denver Nuggets and the Portland Trail Blazers. Rocky, the mascot for the Denver Nuggets, passed out while he was lowered to the floor from the rafters.
Many fans aired their concern of Rocky on Twitter. According to the WebProNews website, most of them also wished the mascot well through the social media platform. Some Twitter users, however, thought the incident was funny. Rocky also extended his thanks to fans over Twitter. The mascot said he hoped to be back in the game between the Nuggets and the Spurs on November 5. The Nuggets lost against the Trail Blazers, 113-98.
Forbes placed the team value of the Denver Nuggets at USD 427 million as of January 2013. For the 2011-2012 season, the team posted USD 110 million in revenue. The Nuggets is owned by Stanley Kroenke who is also the owner of the Pepsi Center and the Avalanche which plays on the NHL. He also televises the Nuggets and the Avalanche on his own regional sports network, Altitude Sports and Entertainment.
