Johnson & Johnson (J&J) pulled some of its products from online shopping company Amazon.com Inc. The said dispute originated from complaints that Amazon's third party sellers were selling damaged or expired products of the healthcare company. This was according to a report published by The Wall Street Journal.
Third party sellers are independent sellers that Amazon hosts in exchange of fees. Some of these sellers get their items from authorized distributors. But the online retail giant cannot really regulate all of them since they are independent sellers, the report stated.
J&J was not satisfied with Amazon's response to the said complaints. This year, the company stopped selling its products directly to Amazon. The items included the Band-aid, Tylenol, and some of J&J's baby products, according to the report.
J&J recently resumed selling its items to Amazon, except for medicines and personal care products. However, the dispute has not yet been totally resolved, The Wall Street Journal reported.
