Sotheby's acquires Bratty & Bluhm assets in Pacific Grove

Sotheby's International Realty Inc announced on Thursday its acquisition of Bratty & Bluhm Real Estate assets in Pacific Grove. The company will start operating as Sotheby's International Realty, according to Monterey County Herald.

Bratty & Bluhm has been in business since 1956. The firm was operated by the husband and wife tandem of Bill and Helen Bluhm. The team will become agents of Sotheby's International Realty, the report said.

In addition, the 17 sales associates of Bratty & Bluhm will join Sotheby's 123 agents in the firm's three Monterey Peninsula headquarters. The combined offices from both firms generated over USD567 million in sales volume in the last year, Monterey County Herald reported.

Sotheby's is a company that provides access to luxury properties for sale worldwide. The firm was founded in 1976. At present, Sotheby's has more than 670 offices and 13,000 sales associates in 49 countries. The real estate network caters to the most prestigious clients in the world, according to its company website.
