Irish consumer electronics distributor PCH International has acquired Australian distribution firm Conexus, according to RTE News.
Under the terms of the acquisition deal, Conexus will become part of TNS Distribution, the distribution unit of PCH. The company hopes to give its clients better access to Australian and Asian markets as a result of the transaction, the report detailed.
Established in 1991, Conexus is a company that specializes in the distribution of IT and consumer products in the region, the report said.
According to PCH International Chief Executive Officer Liam Casey, the deal would bring his clients a step closer to the Australian market. Casey also said he was excited about the vast opportunities that await his company in the country, the report explained.
Based in Cork, Ireland, PCH International helps companies get Asia-manufactured products and distribute them to international markets. The company said Conexus was among the first of a number of potential acquisitions. PCH International is planning to build the global business of TNS Distribution, RTE News said in its report.
