Seattle matchmaking platform LikeBright has added Utah matchmaking software maker MatchMate for an undisclosed amount. The deal should help LikeBright achieve its expansion goal, according to GeekWire.
MatchMate was founded in March 2012. The Utah-based company makes matchmaking easy for its users with just a single click on the app, the report said.
In a press release, LikeBright Chief Executive Officer Nick Soman said of the acquisition and Matchmate's Chairman of the Board, "We are pleased to welcome MatchMate and John (Richards) to the LikeBright family. John is a strong entrepreneur with a wealth of relevant knowledge and connections, and the MatchMate transaction is consistent with our strategy to continue to build scale in our business."
LikeBright is presently raising $1 million in a new funding round that would bring its total finances to $2.25 million. Seattle entrepreneur Rudy Gadre has already participated in the latest round with a $250,000 investment, the report detailed.
Richards is also set to invest in LikeBright's current round. Moreover, he will join the matchmaking firm's advisory board, GeekWire reported.
