Tyson Foods, one of the biggest meat processors in the world, announced that it has bought the assets of Michigan-based firm Bosco's Pizza Co, according to UT San Diego.
The financial terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed. The said transaction was completed on Saturday, the report added.
Bosco's is known for producing several varieties of frozen pizzas and stuffed bread sticks. The company's clients include food service and retail firms across the Midwest and some national sellers, the report detailed.
According to Tyson officials, the acquisition is part of the Springdale-based firm to expand its domestic business involving prepared foods, the report said.
Bosco's currently employs around 150 workers. All of these employees are expected to be transferred to Tyson. Under the terms of the deal, the Michigan company will be integrated into the Prepared Foods division of Tyson Foods. However, Bosco's will continue to operate using its current name, UT San Diego reported.
