HiddenRadio has launched another crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to create a second model of its Bluetooth speaker. The original model, created by Vitor Santa Maria and John Van Den Nieuwenhuizen, almost hit the $1-million mark on its 2012 Kickstarter campaign, according to TechCrunch.
The first model of HiddenRadio had excellent frequency response, bass, and design. The new model is about the size of a soup can but still has the same rich sound quality. The creators have added new features such as a better port placement and connectivity for two HiddenRadios to form a stereo pair, which none of its competitors have. There is also a noise-cancelling microphone that also functions as a speakerphone, the report detailed.
The HiddenRadio2 has a chromed outer shell. A touch-sensitive top allows the user to control the volume and power with a spin or a tap of the finger. The speaker grill can also be raised using a single tap, the report said.
These Bluetooth speakers are an example of high-end design items on Kickstarter that do not cost much, TechCrunch reported.
