PressFriendly has launched a platform that orients a startup on what they should do before beginning a press outreach. The software also puts together custom media lists based on a startup's product and which reporters might pick up their story, according to TechCrunch.
The said platform works like a virtual PR agency. Instead of hiring a whole human PR team, startups can simply submit their infomation to PressFriendly's pitch builder. The tool helps them improve their messaging before they start a press outreach, the report detailed.
However, the service does not wholly consist of software. PressFriendly also offers consultation with professionals who can provide advice and help them smooth out their pitch. According to co-founder Joel Andren, the main idea is to replace most of the work of an agency with the startup itself executing the tasks. In doing so, the company helps startups reduce their expenses significantly. The SaaS platform costs $99 to $999 per month, depending on the amount of consultation time used, the report explained.
Andren was also Bitcasa's co-founder and HelloSign's head of marketing. Paul Denya, another PressFriendly co-founder, was HelloSign's second developer, TechCrunch reported.
