MaxiPARTS has scooped up RW International Parts in Wagga Wagga, Australia, according to ATN. The financial terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed in the said report.
The company plans to move the newly-acquired store's location to 150 Hammond Avenue. The new outlet is expected to begin trading on March 3, the report detailed.
Peter Loimaranta, the general manager of MaxiPARTS, said of the deal: "This strategic acquisition is complementary to the existing Maxiparts wholesale and retail network and will further improve our expanding coverage of the Australian market. With the addition of Maxiparts' diverse core product range, Maxiparts Wagga Wagga will be a one stop shop for the area, so whether our customers are after a car fridge, tool kit, LED light, tyres or axles and suspensions, they will be able to find it at our store."
The addition will increase the total retail stores of MaxiPARTS in Australia to 20, the report added.
Established in 1983, RW International Parts was previously owned by Rex Waters. Under the terms of the acquisition deal, Waters will remain with the vehicle parts supplier for a few months to help in the company's transition, ATN reported.
